Oops is making consumers’ returns simple and easy by bringing it to their front doors. Backed by some of the same investors that invested in Allbirds, Hims & Hers, & CloudFlare, we are now growing our team to scale our product while also building tools to further simplify the returns process and internal logistics management.

There was $761B of merchandise returned in the US in 2021, which was a 77% year over year increase.  Over half of those items never made it back to inventory resulting in around 2.8 million metric tons of CO2. Here at Oops we are turning the return experience on its head to make it more simple, convenient, & efficient so all people have to do is just “Oops-it”. Join us in revolutionizing returns.

Engineering at Oops
We’re tackling big problems in a big space and we’re in it for the long haul. We’re looking for engineers who:
* Are excited to help build something from the ground up
* See the success of the team as their success 
* Both want to continue to grow and learn while helping others level-up as well
* Value automated testing, code as craft, and trying to leave systems better than they found them
* Engage in deep technical discussions with other low ego engineers
* Seek out tradeoffs not shortcuts

* Want to build great products at a sustainable pace without death marches, arbitrary deadlines, or working towards burnout
* Look forward to working within our stack: NodeJS + Typescript, React Native, GraphQL, PostgresSQL, GCP, Nx Build System, and more

This Role
* Work closely with founders, product and marketing to optimize customer the experience to accelerate growth
* Work across our full stack making contributions to our backend systems, web front ends, as well as our react native app
* Spend the vast majority of your time building features with very few meetings
* Likely ship code to production multiple times per week
* Level up by both giving and receiving feedback through code reviews and ad hoc discussions
* Design & build systems that help support our growth
* Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure we're building the right solutions
* Identify and prioritize tech debt for the team

We do not put a lot of stock in years of experience, but as an indication successful candidates typically have 5+ years of professional experience for this role. Not sure which role to apply for?
